Lake Albano (Italian: Lago Albano or Lago di Castel Gandolfo) is a small volcanic crater lake in the Alban Hills of Lazio, at the foot of Monte Cavo, 20 km (12 mi) southeast of Rome. Castel Gandolfo, overlooking the lake, is the site of the Papal Palace of Castel Gandolfo.
It hosted the canoeing and rowing events of the 1960 Summer Olympic Games that were held in Rome.The lane marking system developed for these events is commonly referred to as the Albano buoy system.

Lake Nemi (Italian: Lago di Nemi, Latin: Nemorensis Lacus, also called Diana's Mirror, Latin: Speculum Dianae) is a small circular volcanic lake in the Lazio region of Italy 30 km (19 mi) south of Rome, taking its name from Nemi, the largest town in the area, that overlooks it from a height.

Lake Turano, also known as Lake Posticciola, is an artificial lake located in the province of Rieti (eastern Sabina), in Lazio, on the western edge of the Monte Navegna and Monte Cervia nature reserve.
Located at 536 m above sea level along the course of the Turano river, the lake is about ten kilometers long and has a perimeter of about 36 km.

Lake Scandarello is an artificial lake, formed by the dam built along the course of the Scandarello stream, a tributary of the Tronto, surrounded by the western peaks of the Monti della Laga, in the territory of the municipality of Amatrice, in upper Lazio.
The dam, built in 1924, is 55 m high and forms the third artificial lake in the province of Rieti, with a length of 3 km and an area of about 1 km² and a depth of 41 m. Its waters feed the Scandarello hydroelectric plant, the first of those built along the Tronto Valley.
